AccountNumber
AccountNumber: The identifier for the account. The AccountNumber must be unique. Itron recommends that the AccountNumber and the AccountId for the same service point have the same value.

Required. AccountId and AccountNumber are the same values. When a new service goes in and you are creating a record in the MDI file for the first time and you do not have an AccountNumber yet for the location, you can either not send the AccountNumber attribute at all or you can assign a temporary value such as "Vacant". You cannot send a blank AccountNumber attribute (AccountNumber = ""). |
